Who doesn’t love a great fireworks display? Most dogs, actually! Dogs and other pets can have extreme anxiety and may panic when they hear fireworks. Many dogs go missing on New Years Eve.
Please ensure that your dog is inside during expected fireworks displays and that you take them out on leash throughout the night. Dogs or cats will climb fences and squeeze through small gaps when panicked and are unlikely to listen to their people when they call their name. Not only may they be lost, but they might get injured in the process. And remember: many people set of fireworks much earlier than midnight. Plan ahead to keep your pet safe and happy tonight!
