Anker 334 MagGo Battery (PowerCore 10K), Model: A1642 recalled due to potential fire hazard

Issue

Certain units of the recalled powerbank may overheat due to a manufacturing defect of the lithium-ion battery, posing a potential fire hazard.

Affected products

This recall involves certain units of Anker 334 MagGo Battery (PowerCore 10K), Model: A1642 powerbanks identified by specific serial numbers found on the bottom of the battery. Consumers must contact Anker to determine if their serial number is affected at the following website https://www.anker.com/ca/a1642-recall.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the product and visit the company website to determine if your product has an affected serial number. If your product is verified to be included in the recall, safely dispose of the product in a way that it cannot be used again. Contact your municipality for instructions on how to safely transport and dispose of lithium-ion batteries.  Batteries are considered hazardous waste. Do not place them in household garbage.
