DID YOU KNOW?

The second Sunday in September of each year is designated in memory of firefighters who have fallen in the line of duty, named Firefighters National Memorial Day.

Today we recognize the dangers firefighters often face when carrying out their duties, the ultimate sacrifice of firefighters who have given their lives in the line of duty, and we commemorate their courage, their selflessness, and their unwavering commitment to serving our communities.

In respect and remembrance, our flag will be flown at half mast from sunrise to sunset to mark this important day of recognition and appreciation of these sacrifices.

Rest well brothers and sisters.
