Update: Two missing teens located

​The two people who were reported missing from Truro on September 3 have been located and are safe.

The RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance and retweets on social media.

Colchester RCMP is asking for the public’s help to locate two missing people, 15-year-old Sonya Downing and 16-year-old Madeline Robinson. Both were together yesterday at 12 p.m. in Victoria Park in Truro and have not been seen since. Police are looking to confirm their well-being.

Sonya Downing is described as Caucasian, 5-foot-8 and approximately 180 pounds. She has long brown hair, blue eyes and a nose piercing. Downing was last seen wearing a pink hoodie and black pants.

Madeline Robinson is described as Caucasian, five feet tall and approximately 110 pounds. She has short bluish-green hair and blue eyes. Robinson was last seen wearing a beige and brown hoodie, black pants and a black headband.

When someone goes missing, it has deep and far-reaching impacts for the person and those that know them. We ask that people spread the word through social media respectfully.
