Meteghan RCMP seeking information from the public in two arson investigations

Meteghan RCMP is investigating two arsons after attending suspicious fires in Concession and Saulnierville over the weekend.

On July 6, at approximately 9:20 a.m., RCMP officers and fire services responded to a structure fire on Blanco Bell Rd. in Concession. Upon arrival, a seasonal residence was found destroyed. It’s believed the fire was set sometime over night. The residence was unoccupied at the time of the incident. The Office of the Fire Marshal attended the scene.

On July 7, at approximately 2:50 a.m., RCMP officers and fire services attended the 700-block of Saulnierville Rd. in Saulnierville Station after receiving a report of a fire at a warehouse. The structure damage was minimal.

Both incidents were deemed suspicious in nature.

The investigations are ongoing and being led by the Meteghan RCMP, with assistance from the Yarmouth/Clare RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit.
