“Main Street – Water System Upgrades
As part of the Caledonia Road Water Transmission Main Upgrade Project, Brycon Construction Ltd., on behalf of Halifax Water will be undertaking water main work on Main Street in Dartmouth beginning tonight (Wednesday, August 26th).
This work will take place on Main Street at the intersection of Brigadoon Avenue from 7:00 PM tonight (Wednesday, August 26th) – 5:00 PM Friday, September 4th. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction in the work zone for the duration of this work. The sidewalk will remain open. The outbound bike lane in the work zone will be closed. Brigadoon Avenue will be closed at Main Street. See the attached map for details.
There will be no loss of water, wastewater or stormwater services.
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow around the work zone. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
For the safety of work crews and residents, please maintain social/physical distancing requirements of at least 2 metres/6 feet.
