Police continue to investigate shooting

Halifax Regional Police is continuing to investigate a shooting that occurred earlier this week in Dartmouth and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.

At approximately 6:40 a.m. officers responded to a shooting that had just occurred in the area of the 100 block of Colford Avenue. Officers located a man who had been shot.

The man was taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect fired multiple shots at the victim, who was waiting at a bus stop in the area, then fled on a motorcycle.

It is believed that the suspect was in the area of the MacKay Bridge shortly after the incident.

The suspect is described as a man wearing a black jacket over a grey hooded sweatshirt, dark coloured jeans and sneakers and black helmet.

The suspect was riding a blue and grey sport style motorcycle.

Anyone with information or video from the area is asked to call police at 902-490-5020.
