A World Oceans Day Celebration
Friday, June 7, free! 9:30 am – 3 pm
For over 20 years, we have recognized World Oceans Day (globally recognized on June 8) by hosting many local, national, nonprofit and academic organizations who live and breathe the ocean, environment and nature everyday in their work, research, public education and community engagement! The 2024 UN World Oceans Day theme is Catalyzing Action for Our Ocean & Climate. In support of the United Nations World Oceans Day, we are excited to welcome everyone with a day of interactive and dynamic educational activities! Follow our socials and #OceansandYou #WorldOceansDay for updates on our participating organizations and event day activities!

Raina will be appearing as part of World Ocean’s Day celebrations at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, “The Ocean & You”. More information here: https://maritimemuseum.novascotia.ca/ More information will be shared as details become available.
Raina’s appearance is suitable for all ages, with a focus on providing circle times for preschoolers in the morning. Older kids will still enjoy chatting with Raina about professional mermaiding, checkout our our collection of natural items, and grabbing a shell-fie.
