Thousands celebrate the 21st Annual Emera Blue Nose
Marathon

In their first year, the Emera Blue Nose Marathon had roughly 3,500 participants. This weekend, 21 years later, the event welcomed more than 8,800 participants to the start line for the 21st Annual Emera Blue Nose Marathon. More than 350 fundraisers participating in the event have raised an estimated $210,000 as part of the Giv’er Charity Challenge.

The Giv’er Charity Challenge is a unique fundraising program that provides a simple way for participants to make their run, walk, or wheel more meaningful through raising funds in support of a local charity of their choice. Donations to all participating charities will be accepted until June 9, 2024.

Known for its inclusivity, the Emera Blue Nose Marathon welcomes all ages, abilities, and fitness levels to participate in one of it’s six events: Doctors Nova Scotia Youth Run, Purple Cow 5KM, GoodLife FITNESS 10KM, Medavie Half Marathon, Killam Marathon Team Relay, and Blue Nose Full Marathon. The Blue Nose Marathon encompasses far more than winning; the organization encourages having fun, celebrating active living, and creating and conquering new goals at any level.

Blue Nose congratulates all participants for taking on this year’s challenge, and would like to recognize 2024 race results:
