Police arrest three people from Lunenburg County for drug trafficking
Police has arrested three people for drug trafficking following a traffic stop in Mahone Bay.
On March 20, at approximately 10:10 p.m., the South Shore Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit completed a targeted traffic stop on Parish St. in relation to an ongoing drug investigation.
Officers safely arrested the three occupants of the vehicle, two men and a woman from Lunenburg County. A search followed resulting in the seizure of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and cell phones.
Pamela Dorothy Hubley, 39, from Tanner Settlement, has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Obstructing Justice and Failing to Comply with an Undertaking.
Kirk John Bishop, 35, from Tanner Settlement, has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Failing to Comply with a Release Order.
The second man was later released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court on May 22, 2024, at 9:30am.
Hubley and Bishop appeared in court and were remanded into custody. They will return in Bridgewater Provincial Court on June 17, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
The investigation is ongoing.
The South Shore Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit is made up of officers from the Lunenburg District RCMP and the Bridgwater Police Service. The investigation was assisted by the General Investigation Section of the Bridgewater Police Service, Lunenburg District RCMP and the Criminal Intelligence Service of Nova Scotia.

Three people facing charges after search warrants executed in Yarmouth County
Yarmouth Town RCMP has charged three people with drugs and firearms offences after a search warrant was executed in Tusket.
On March 28, Yarmouth Town RCMP, with the assistance of Emergency Response Team, Police Dog Services, Southwest Nova Traffic Services and Criminal Intelligence Service of Nova Scotia executed a search warrant on Lake Vaughan Rd.
At the home, police safely arrested three men then located and seized two semi-automatic handguns, ammunition, cocaine, drug paraphernalia, Canadian currency and cellular phones. A vehicle was also seized as part of the investigation.
Junniko Beals, 27, Triston Grant, 32 and Shemar Leroy Willis, 24 have all been charged with:
- Possession for Purpose of Trafficking;
- Production of Substance;
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose;
- Unauthorized possession of firearm;
- Unsafe Storage of Firearm;
- Possession of Prohibited Weapon Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized;
- Possession of Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition.
Additionally, Junniko Beals has been charged with Possession Contrary to Order.
All three accused were remanded and appeared in Yarmouth Provincial Court on April 2. Beals was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in Yarmouth Provincial Court on April 8. Grant and Willis were released on conditions and are scheduled to appear Yarmouth Provincial Court on May 6.
The investigation is ongoing.

Cumberland Country District RCMP charge a man with firearms offences
Cumberland Country District RCMP has charged a man with multiple firearms offences in Springhill.
On March 25, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Cumberland Country District RCMP responded to an anonymous firearms complaint on Mechanic St. RCMP officers learned that a man was involved in a verbal altercation with a woman, known to him, when he drew and pointed a handgun at her. The man then fled the area.
From the information and evidence gathered, officers identified the 26-year-old Springhill man involved in the incident.
On March 29, Cumberland County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU), with assistance from the Cumberland County District RCMP, executed a search warrant at a home on Main St., in Springhill.
At the residence, officers safely arrested the 26-year-old man then located and seized two handguns, a replica firearm and ammunition.
Klace David Mitchell, 26, has been charged with:
- Assault
- Mischief
- Pointing a Firearm
- Carrying a Concealed weapon
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (three counts)
- Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
Mitchell was remanded into custody and then released on conditions imposed by the court on April 4. He will return in Amherst Provincial Court on May 13, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
The investigation remains ongoing; Additional charges are anticipated.
