HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Bedford Bypass
A repaving project is taking place on the Bedford bypass westbound lanes, from the exit to Dartmouth Road to the overpass near the intersection of Highway 101.
Repairs will also be carried out to the structures over Memory Lane, Rocky Lake Drive and Highway 102.
Motorists should expect delays between 7 p.m. to 3 p.m. The work is expected to be completed by Friday, Sept. 18.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Bell Boulevard
Bell Boulevard, from the Highway 102 northbound ramp to east of Pratt and Whitney Drive, will have lane reductions for road widening, paving, curb and intersection removal. No road closures are planned. Work is scheduled until Friday, Aug. 28.
Traffic control will be on site.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Dillmans Bridge, Meaghers Grant
Dillmans Bridge, on Wyse Road in Meaghers Grant, will be closed until further notice.
A detour is available via Old Guysborough Road. Signs are in place.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Pratt and Whitney Drive
Pratt and Whitney Drive, from Aerotech Drive to Baldwin Drive, will have lane reductions and lane closures for curb and road repair until Friday, Aug. 28. During this time Pratt and Whitney Drive, from Baldwin Drive to Bell Boulevard, will be permanently closed.
Traffic control measures and detours are in place.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Route 333
Route 333 (Brookside Road to Terence Road), is reduced to one lane for patching, crack sealing and micro surfacing until Friday, Aug. 28.
Work will take place weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Traffic control will be in place. Expect delays.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 102, Lantz
A temporary detour is in place on Highway 102 north of Exit 8, Elmsdale, for the replacement of the Nine Mile River bridges, northbound and southbound. This work is part of ongoing construction for the new Lantz Interchange and Connector Road.
The detour has a reduced speed limit of 80 kilometres an hour.
The detour is expected to be in place until mid-summer 2021. The Lantz Interchange and Connector Road is expected to be complete and open to traffic by fall 2021.

Sackville Drive – Road Construction
Friday, August 21, 2020 (Halifax, NS)
The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that road construction will take place on Sackville Drive, from Beaverbank Road to Millwood Drive, on Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23.
Crews will be on site from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
This work will require the signals to be shut down at the intersection of Sackville Drive and Beaverbank Road from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday. Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway. Traffic control personnel will be in place to direct motorists, cyclists and pedestrians around the work site while the signals are shut down.

Robie Street – Road Construction
Friday, August 21, 2020 (Halifax, NS)
The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that road construction will take place on Robie Street, between North and Almon streets, on Saturday, August 22.
Crews will be on site from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway.
Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Hammonds Plains and Pockwock roads – Road Construction
Friday, August 21, 2020 (Halifax, NS)
The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that road construction will require the signals to be shut down at the intersection of Hammonds Plains and Pockwock roads on Friday, August 21.
Crews will be on site from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. installing new traffic lights. Lane drops will be in place while work is underway. Traffic control personnel will be in place to direct motorists, cyclists and pedestrians around the work site while the signals are shut down.

Joseph Howe Drive – Road Construction
Thursday, August 20, 2020 (Halifax, NS)
The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that sidewalk repairs will take place on Joseph Howe Drive, from Lexington Avenue to Morningside Drive, on Friday, August 21 and Monday, August 24.
Crews will be on site weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lane drops will be in place while work is underway.

Sackville Street & Dresden Row – Traffic Signal Installation
Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020 (Halifax, NS)
The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that road construction will take place at the intersection of Sackville Street and Dresden Row beginning Friday, Aug. 21.
Crews will be on site each day from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. installing new traffic lights. Motorists will be directed around the work site as necessary.

Robie Street – Road Construction
Thursday, August 20, 2020 (Halifax, NS)
The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that road construction will take place on Robie Street, between Young and Almon streets, from Thursday, August 20 to Friday, August 21.
Crews will be on site from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, and from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday. Lane drops will be in place while work is underway.

Romans Avenue – Road Closure
Wednesday, August 19, 2020 (Halifax, NS)
The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that Romans Avenue, from Bayers Road to Vaughan Avenue, will be closed from 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19 to 7 a.m. on Thursday, August 20.
Crews will be on site to facilitate nighttime road construction in the area. A marked detour will be in place while work is underway.

Joseph Howe Drive – Road Construction
Friday, August 14, 2020 (Halifax, NS)
The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that road construction will take place on Joseph Howe Drive, between Highway 102 and the Fairview overpass, from Saturday, August 15 to Sunday, August 16.
Crews will be on site Saturday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Lane drops will be in place while work is underway.

Windsor Street Exchange – Traffic Delay
Friday, August 14, 2020 (Halifax, NS)
The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents to expect delays from the Windsor Street Exchange to the Halifax approach of the MacKay Bridge from Monday, August 17 to Friday, August 21.
Crews will be on site in multiple locations from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Lane drops will be in place while work is underway.

Victoria Road – Road Construction
Friday, August 14, 2020 (Halifax, NS)
The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that road construction will take place on Victoria Road, at the Demetreous Lane intersection, on Friday August 14, 2020.
Crews will be on site from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway.

Eisener Boulevard – Road Construction
Friday, August 14, 2020 (Halifax, NS)
The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that road construction will take place on Eisener Boulevard, between Portland Street and Portland Estates Boulevard, on Friday August 14.
Crews will be on site from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lane drops will be in place while work is underway.

Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.
Your patience is appreciated while this work is completed.
Construction during COVID-19: Construction crews will strive to maintain physical distancing measures, however, residents may see workers within two metres of each other while completing certain tasks which aligns with the exemptions outlined in the Provincial Health Order. If approaching construction crews, residents are asked to provide at least two metres of physical distancing.

**** Halifax Water Release
George Street – Wastewater System Maintenance
(Friday, August 14, 2020) Halifax Water will be undertaking scheduled wastewater system maintenance tonight, Friday, August 14, and tomorrow, Saturday, August 15, near 5151 George Street in Halifax.
Wastewater system maintenance work will take place tonight, Friday, August 14, from 5:30 PM – 12:00 midnight. On Saturday, August 15, paving work will be completed by Ocean Contractors Ltd., on behalf of Halifax Water, from 8:00 AM until approximately 12:00 noon. Work on both days will require the closure of George Street between Hollis Street and Lower Water Street during the times above. The sidewalks will remain open. See the attached work zone map. There will be no loss of municipal services.
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site. On-site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes and expect delays. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
For the safety of work crews and residents, please maintain social/physical distancing requirements of at least 2 metres/6 feet.
