Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit charge two people with drug and weapon offences
The Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit has charged two people with drug and weapon offences after a search warrant at a home in Greenwood.
On February 8, 2024, the Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, with assistance from the Kings District RCMP General Investigation Section, the Kentville Police Service General Investigation Section, the Kings District RCMP and the RCMP Police Dog Services, executed a search warrant at a home on Glasgow Ave.
At the home, police safely arrested one woman then located and seized a taser.
A short time later, another man and a woman were safely arrested during a targeted traffic stop on a 2008 blue Pontiac G5. Following the arrests, officers located and seized cocaine, hydromorphone, scales, cash and cellular phones.
Stephen George, 34, from Greenwood and Lytora MacArthur, 30, from Kingston have been charged with:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (two counts);
- Unauthorized possession of prohibited weapon;
- Possession of prohibited weapon knowing its possession is unauthorized;
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
Both accused were released on conditions and are scheduled to appear in Kentville Provincial Court on April 17, 2024 at 9:30 a.m.
The woman arrested at the home was later released without charges.
