Frigidaire-Branded rear-control Range recalled due to electrical shock and electrocution hazards

Issue

The control panel (user interface) located on the rear of the range can detach from the unit, posing electrical shock and electrocution hazards.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Frigidaire rear-control range and contact Electrolux Group for a free repair/professional installation of a new control panel.  Consumers should not use the range while awaiting the service call.  Consumers should unplug the unit until repaired by an authorized servicer.

To participate in the recall consumers can register online at www.rangeuirecall.ca or call 1-888-889-8933 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday (except statutory holidays).

Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Electrolux Home Products, Inc.

Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.

Health Canada would like to remind consumers to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form.
