Shelburne RCMP investigating armed robbery

Shelburne RCMP Detachment is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a gas station on Falls Ln. in Shelburne.

On December 26, 2023, at approximately 10:56 p.m., Shelburne RCMP Detachment responded to a report of an armed robbery at a gas station on Falls Ln. in Shelburne. RCMP officers learned that a man had entered the gas station and demanded money from the cashier while pointing what appeared to be a firearm at them. The man fled the scene on foot heading towards Wrights Rd. The employee was not physically injured during the incident.

The man was wearing a black face mask, black jacket, black pants, and had a brown mustache visible from underneath his mask. Surveillance video shows a white compact sedan, possibly a Hyundai Elantra, traveling south on Water St. It is believed this vehicle may have picked up the man on Wrights Rd.

Police lay charges in assault that occurred at a government constituency office

Halifax Regional Police has charged a man in relation to an incident that occurred at a government constituency office in Halifax earlier this month.

On December 14 at approximately 12:10 p.m. officers responded to a report of an assault that occurred at a government constituency office in the 300 block of Herring Cove Road. A man came into the office and assaulted two people, who were known to him, caused damage to the office then left the area on foot.

Yesterday, officers arrested Blair Jordan MacDonald, 47, in Halifax. He is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court today to face charges of assault and property damage.
