Police seeking information after shots fired in East Preston

The RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division is seeking information in relation to shots fired at a home in East Preston.

On December 9, at approximately 9 a.m., Halifax District RCMP responded to a report of shots fired at a residence located on Hwy. 7, near Upper Governor St. RCMP officers learned that a 67-year-old East Preston man heard gun shots outside, at approximately 8 a.m., and later discovered damage consistent with bullet holes in the exterior of the home, as well as unfired bullets and empty casings.

No injuries were sustained in the incident.

The investigation is ongoing and is being led by the General Investigative Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, with the assistance from the RCMP Forensic Identification Section. At this time, officers do not believe the incident was random.
