Kearney Lake Beach closure – Utility Work

Kearney Lake Road – Utility Work

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that Nova Scotia Power will be completing utility work in the area of Kearney Lake between Hamshaw Drive and Larry Uteck Boulevard will continue Wednesday August 12 and Thursday, August 13. ​ will continue on Monday, August 10 and Tuesday, August 11.

Crews will be onsite from 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. One lane of traffic will be maintained while work is underway.

As a result of this work, the supervised Kearney Lake beach was closed on Monday, August 10.

The beach reopened on Tuesday, August 11.

Construction During COVID-19: Construction crews will strive to maintain physical distancing measures, however, residents may see workers within two metres of each other while completing certain tasks which aligns with the exemptions outlined in the Provincial Health Order. If approaching construction crews, residents are asked to provide at least two metres of physical distancing.
