GIVE THE GIFT OF TIME: Bridgwater

Before we know it, winter will have arrived! And smaller communities often have less resources available for those who are unhoused. So we are really excited that South Shore Open Doors Association is opening a temporary shelter for the 2023/24 winter season!

But the issue still remained, what about during the day? We all know how cold it is going to get and staying outside all day is not a great option. Souls Harbour was approached about opening a daytime warming centre, operating out of our current building and we are very excited to announce that we are ready to take on this new challenge!!

However – we need our community to rally together to help this happen!!

Starting within the next couple weeks, we will be opening up our building daily from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM for shelter residents. In order to make this happen, we are looking for evening and weekend volunteers
( you apply at www.SoulsHarbour.ca or email volunteer@shrm.ca).
