Police make arrest in the murder of Chauntel Lizette MacIntyre
Today investigators from the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division made an arrest in relation to the murder of Chauntel Lizette MacIntyre
At approximately 9:50 a.m. this morning investigators arrested a 31-year-old woman at a residence in Halifax.
On May 17, 2022, at approximately 12:45 a.m. police responded to a report of an injured person in the area of Sylvia Avenue and Herring Cove Road. Officers located 37-year-old Chauntel Lizette MacIntyre who had been stabbed. She was taken to hospital where she later died as a result of her injuries.
The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service conducted an autopsy and ruled the manner of death to be a homicide.
Chauntel’s murder remains under investigation and investigators believe there are people who have information in her case. We hope the passage of time will encourage them to do the right thing and come forward with what they know.
The smallest piece of information may be just what is needed to progress the investigation.
