The Canadian Hurricane Centre (CHC) continues to monitor storm activity in the tropics today. Although no major impacts from TS Margot are expected in Canada at this time, Major Hurricane Lee remains a storm that should be watched closely over the next several days.

CHC Key Messages:

???? As of this afternoon, Lee remains a major hurricane and is located about 2700 km south southeast of Halfax.
???? Lee is expected to continue on its current northwesterly track but will slow down significantly over the next few days
???? Although the storm has weakened somewhat, it is showing signs of re-intensification which is what is predicted over the next few days.
???? By Wednesday next week, Lee is expected to make a turn towards the north and begin to move faster once again
???? Until both these changes occur, there will remain a considerable amount of uncertainty in the exact track.
???? Therefore, it is still too soon to make any definite statements on what level of impacts, if any, Lee might have in Eastern Canada
???? Continue to monitor updates to Lee’s forecast during the next several days and always make sure to use only trusted sources for weather information
???? Meanwhile Tropical Storm Margot is not expected to have a major impact on Canada at this time.
