New Glasgow Regional Police charge man for thefts that took place at a local community event

New Glasgow Regional Police has charged a 56-year-old man in relation to thefts that occurred at a local community event in New Glasgow.

On Sunday August 13, 2023 New Glasgow Regional Police received a report that several vendors from the Pictou County Ribfest 2023 were victims of the thefts.

New Glasgow Regional Police investigation indicated that the thefts occurred between the hours of 3:00am and 6:00am on Sunday August 13.

Equipment and food and other items were stolen from a total of 8 vendors and some items have been recovered as part of the investigation.

As a result of the investigation, a 56-year-old man from Pictou County was arrested and has been charged with;

8 Counts of Theft under $5000.00.

The man was released under an undertaking and will be appearing in Provincial Court in Pictou on November 6th, 2023.

New Glasgow Regional Police continue to Investigate.
