Lunenburg District RCMP charge man with firearms offences
Lunenburg District RCMP has charged a man with firearms offences after an incident on Gloade Ln. in Gold River.
On August 6, 2023, at approximately 10:15 p.m., Lunenburg District RCMP responded to a report of four men fighting on Gloade Ln. in Gold River. RCMP officers learned that during the fight, one man had pointed a firearm at another man, and threatened him with it. A 70-year-old Gold River man was safely arrested and no one was injured during the incident.
Ronald Lorne Paul, 70, has been charged with Careless Use of a Firearm, Pointing a Firearm, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Uttering Threats. Paul was released on conditions by a Justice of the Peace and will appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court on October 11, 2023, at 9:30 a.m.
