Traffic Delay – Halifax-Dartmouth Natal Day Parade

Date: Monday, August 7

Time: 10 a.m. to 12 noon

Details: Residents can anticipate traffic delays, street closures, and parking restrictions along the parade route. The MacDonald Bridge will also be closed during the parade.

Traffic impact: The parade will form on Novelea Drive and Kenny Street before proceeding south on Novalea Drive and Gottingen Street. The parade will then continue east on North Street before crossing the MacDonald Bridge.

Once in Dartmouth, the parade will proceed south on Wyse Road and Alderney Drive, east on Ochterloney Street before concluding on Maple Street and dispersing via Chrichton Street and Prince Albert Road.

Traffic Delay – Natal Day Road Race

Date: Monday, August 7

Time: 8:15 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Details: Residents can anticipate traffic delays, street closures, and parking restrictions along the race route.

Traffic impact: Racers will begin at Christ Church before proceeding northeast on Ochterloney Street and Crichton Avenue. The course will then proceed southeast on Hawthorne Street, west on Portland Street, and west and north on Alderney Drive.

Racers will conclude by travelling northeast on Ochterloney Street before finishing at Christ Church. Racers will run the course three times.
