Eskasoni RCMP arrest a man in relation to firearms seizure
Eskasoni RCMP has arrested a man in relation to a seizure of firearms in Eskasoni.
On July 19, Eskasoni RCMP obtained and executed a search warrant in relation to an ongoing firearms investigation at a residence on Ginger Root Ln. in Eskasoni. Inside the home, RCMP officers located and seized assault rifles, shotguns, oversized capacity magazines, ammunition, and ballistic body armour.
At the home, RCMP officers safely arrested a 28-year-old Eskasoni man who was later released on conditions.
The man is scheduled to appear in Eskasoni Provincial Court on October 3, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. to face charges of Possession of Prohibited Weapon Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized and Unsafe Storage of a Firearm.
