Heat warning continues
Humidex values reaching 36 will continue.
Very warm and humid weather continues.
Time span: continuing today province-wide, and then into Sunday for some areas.
Locations: Nova Scotia.
Maximum temperature today: near 30 degrees Celsius (Humidex near 36), except cooler along parts of the coast.
Minimum temperature tonight: 16 to 18 degrees Celsius.
Maximum temperature Saturday: 28 to 30 degrees Celsius (Humidex 34 to 37), except cooler along parts of the coast.
Extreme heat affects everyone.
Check on older family, friends and neighbours. Make sure they are cool and drinking water
Watch for the symptoms of heat illness: dizziness/fainting; nausea/vomiting; rapid breathing and heartbeat; extreme thirst; decreased urination with unusually dark urine.
Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
