Charges Laid in Case of Abused Dog

Kuper Oldham, 21, from Wallace, Nova Scotia, has been charged with causing an animal to be in distress, contrary to section 26 (1) of the Animal Protection Act of Nova Scotia.

On June 8, 2023, the Nova Scotia SPCA received a complaint of abuse regarding a dog located in the Wallace area. Through further investigation, the dog and the accused were located. The dog was seized, and the accused issued an appearance notice to attend court at a later date.

Oldham is scheduled to appear in Amherst Provincial Court on September 25, 2023.
