Digby RCMP investigate fatal crash
Digby RCMP is investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Central Grove.
Yesterday, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Digby RCMP, fire and EHS, responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Hwy. 217 in Central Grove. RCMP officers learned that a Mazda 6 travelling on the highway left the roadway and came to rest in the ditch.
The driver of the Mazda and lone occupant, a 42-year-old Scotch Village man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
Hwy. 217 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
