Municipality announces Dartmouth Sunshine Series
The Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting residents to participate in the Dartmouth Sunshine Series – a free, seven-week concert and entertainment series at the Dartmouth Ferry Terminal Park.
Beginning on Sunday, June 25, the Dartmouth Sunshine Series will include 24 family friendly community concerts and events for all residents to enjoy. Community concerts will bring together a diverse mix of sounds – including urban, gospel, classic rock, blues, folk, acoustic and more. Children and youth entertainment will include the Mother Goose Festival, a Halifax Jazz Festival showcase and multicultural celebrations.
The municipality is attentive to safety concerns related to fireworks and remains in consultation with Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency on this issue. The municipality would also like to reassure residents that there are measures in place to ensure the fireworks used at municipal events are used in a safe manner and in accordance with any relevant fire regulations.
As always, the status of fireworks for events is subject to change. Notification of changes will be shared via the municipality’s Civic Events’ Facebook page and Twitter channel.
