Police investigate assault causing bodily harm

Police are investigating an assault causing bodily harm that occurred in Halifax last month and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.

On April 3, at approximately 5:40 p.m. police responded to a report of an assault at Parklane Mall. Two men had been skateboarding inside the mall and were harassing a woman. A security officer attempted to get the men to leave. One of the men began to assault the security officer, knocked him to the ground and continued striking him until a bystander intervened.

The suspect is described as white, 19-20 years old, approximately 5’10”, clean shaven, blond hair, wearing a tan hoodie and carrying a skateboard.
