Special Weather Statement in effect 

Strong southeasterly winds and a period of heavy rain are expected on Monday.

Total rainfall: 30 to 40 mm, possibly more in areas of heaviest rain.

Strongest wind gusts: 70 to 80 km/h, possibly higher in exposed areas.

Time span: beginning overnight Sunday in Yarmouth county and spreading to Halifax county by Monday morning. Conditions will improve by Monday evening.

Remarks: rain at times heavy and strong southeasterly winds could make travelling difficult.
