The ever-popular Halifax Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Nova Scotia returns in- person on Saturday, April 29th, 2023!
Join NSLETR members, Special Olympics Athletes and cheering crowds at Grand Parade Square in Halifax for our Opening Ceremonies.
Then be part of the Torch Run that will lead us to the Halifax waterfront at The Queen’s Marque located on Lower Water Street.
At The Queen’s Marque our BRAAAVE plungers will take a dip in the frigid cold Halifax Harbour waters – all for a great cause!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PLUNGERS:
- Plunger On-site Registration/Check-In:
- Saturday, April 29th, 2023
- Halifax City Hall, Grand Parade Square, 1841 Argyle Street
- Registration from 10:00 am – 11:00 am
- If you miss check-in, you cannot plunge
- Opening Ceremonies:
- Will begin at 11:00 am with opening remarks
- Athletes Pledge
- Torch Run:
- Will begin at 11:30 am
- Plungers & on-lookers will follow members of the NSLETR to the plunge location
- The Plunge:
- Plunges will begin at 12:00 pm at The Queen’s Marque, 1715 Lower Water Street
- BYOT (Bring Your Own Towel)
- Raise over $300 for a FREE custom Polar Plunge towel!
- Parking could be a challenge – please come early!
- Costumes are encouraged – The crazier the better!
- Come prepared, we will have limited facilities to change afterwards
- Please encourage your friends and family to come watch
