Road Construction – Cow Bay Road
Location: Intersection of Cow Bay Road & Dyke Road
Date: Friday, April 28
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: Traffic delays will be in place to facilitate the installation of guide rails.
Traffic impact: Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to take alternative routes whenever possible.

Road Closures – Pinehill Road and Frederick Street
Location: Pinehill Road (between Albro Lake Road and Woodland Avenue) and Frederick Street (between Woodland Avenue and Birchwood Terrace)
Date: Monday, May 1 to Wednesday, July 5
Time: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays (reopening overnights and weekends)
Work details: Road closures will be in place to facilitate road construction.
Traffic impact: Pinehill Road (between Albro Lake Road and Woodland Avenue) and Frederick Street (between Woodland Avenue and Birchwood Terrace), will be closed during the above hours while work is underway. A signed detour route will be in place, and local street access will be maintained. The sidewalks will remain open at all times. Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Traffic Delay – Bedford Highway on-ramp
Location: Bedford Highway on-ramp, between Bayne Street and MacKay Bridge
Date: Wednesday, April 26
Time: 8 p.m. to midnight
Work details: Traffic delays will be in place to facilitate telecommunication infrastructure maintenance.
Traffic impact: The Bedford Highway on-ramp, between Bayne Street and MacKay Bridge, will be reduced to one lane of traffic while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes, whenever possible.

UPDATE: South bound Halifax Transit stops from Cunard Street to Jubilee Road will be temporarily closed.

Road Closure – Robie Street
Location: Robie Street (south bound), from Cunard Street to Quinpool Road
Dates: Tuesday, May 2 to Friday, May 12
Time: 24/7
Work details: This work is related to the installation of underground infrastructure for the development at 6015 Quinpool Road.
Traffic impacts: Motorists, cyclists and Halifax Transit will detour via Cunard, North Park, Trollope and Summer streets and Veterans Memorial Lane. Pedestrians will maintain access via Robie Street sidewalks on the east side of the road (along the Halifax Commons). Halifax Transit will be temporarily closing the three five south bound bus stops between Cunard Street and Quinpool Road Jubilee Road on the west side of Robie Street. A temporary bus stop will be placed on the south side of Cunard Street between Robie Street and North Park Street. Residents should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Road Construction – Main Street
Location: Main Street and Cherry Brook Road
Date: Tuesday, April 25
Time: 3-6 p.m.
Work details: This work is to urgently replace a damaged pole with attached signage.
Traffic impact: Lane drops will be in place while work is underway. It is anticipated that one inbound and one outbound lane will be closed for the duration. Traffic control personnel will direct motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists. Residents should expect delays and are advised to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Location: Robie Street (south bound), from Cunard Street to Quinpool Road
Dates: Tuesday, May 2 to Friday, May 12

Road Construction – Larry Uteck Boulevard
Location: Larry Uteck Boulevard at the intersection of Brookline Drive (north) and Broad Street (north)
Dates: Tuesday, April 26 to Monday, May 26
Time: Weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: This work is related to the construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of Larry Uteck Boulevard, Brookline Drive (north) and Broad Street (north).
Traffic impacts: Altered centre lines and lane reductions will be required at times. Pedestrian and cyclist access will remain open. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Traffic Delay – Bell Road
Location: Bell Road, from Cogswell Street to Trollope Street
Dates: Tuesday, April 25 to Thursday, April 27
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily
Work details: This delay is to allow the safe trenching and maneuvering of equipment for work related to the new Halifax Commons Aquatic Facility.
Traffic impact: Motorists should expect delays and are asked to take alternative routes whenever possible. Two lanes will be maintained at all times.

Date: Tuesday, April 25 to Friday, April 28, 2023

Location: Joffre Street from Sinclair to Tremont streets
Date: Monday, April 24 to Friday, June 30
Time: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily Monday to Friday, reopening overnight and on weekends.
Work details: This road closure will be in place to facilitate road construction.
Traffic impact: A signed detour route will be in place for motorists and cyclists. Local street access will be maintained, and sidewalks will remain open for pedestrians. Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use alternative routes whenever possible.

PICTOU COUNTY: Oak Road, Eureka
Oak Road will be closed between Route 374 and East River West Side Road for roadwork starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, April 24. The work is expected to be complete by 6 p.m. on Monday, May 1.
Detour signs will be in place.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Old Truro Road, Tatamagouche
Old Truro Road, from Kennedy Hill intersection to the Cross Road in North River, is closed until further notice due to a large culvert failure.
A detour is in place.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Salmon River Bridge, Truro
Salmon River Bridge, on Highway 102 between exits 14 and 14A, is reduced to one lane northbound until October, due to work on the bridge decking.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from sunrise to sunset.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Slade Road, Tatamagouche
Slade Road is closed between Lake Road and West Tatamagouche Road until further notice due to a bridge closure.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Apple River Bridge
Apple River Bridge, on Shulie Road between Advocate and Joggins, is closed until further notice due to structural damage.
Signs and a detour are in place.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102, Bedford/Lower Sackville
Highway 102, from Exit 4A to Exit 4C, has lane reductions and intermittent road closures on the northbound and southbound highway for the construction of the Highway 107-Highway 102 Interchange.
Highway 102 northbound and southbound, Highway 101, Bedford Highway, Bedford Bypass, Duke Street, Glendale Avenue and Sackville Drive have intermittent road closures for blasting until June 30.
Traffic control will be on-site. Road closures for blasting occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday to Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday. Lane reductions occur from sunrise to sunset Monday to Thursday and from sunrise to noon on Friday.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 101, Windsor
The eastbound off-ramp at Exit 6, Highway 101, is closed for the construction of a new interchange to downtown Windsor.
A detour is available via Exit 5A. The off-ramp is closed until September.

HANTS COUNTY: Hydes Bridge, Lantz
Hydes Bridge on Highway 277 is closed until further notice.
A detour is in place via Dutch Settlement Road, Elmsdale Road and Trunk 2. Signs are in place.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Indian Path Bridge, Bayport
Indian Path Bridge, Route 332, is closed for replacement until further notice.
A detour is in place.

PICTOU COUNTY: Highway 104, Barneys River
The new Barneys River Interchange will be used to detour Highway 104 traffic until May 31, to prepare for the opening of the new highway.
Signs will direct drivers through the roundabouts. Approaching traffic must yield to traffic already in the roundabout.

Port Royal Bridge on Port Royal Road is closed until further notice. A detour is in place on MacEachern Road.
