FREEZING RAIN Warning in Effect
Freezing rain is expected or occurring.
Locations: Hants, Kings, Annapolis, Queens, Lunenburg, and Halifax counties.
Time span: overnight tonight until Thursday morning.
Remarks: Precipitation will begin as snow or ice pellets tonight. It will then transition through a period of freezing rain overnight tonight before changing to rain Thursday morning. Portions of the coast can expect the freezing rain to be brief while it will be more prolonged inland.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
