Police seeking public assistance in identifying those responsible for theft from local business

Bridgewater Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying those responsible for a trailer theft from a local business.

On January 30, 2023, BPS received a complaint that a large silver dump trailer was stolen from Silvers’ Garage, located on North Street in Bridgewater, sometime over the previous weekend.

Video surveillance from the area that was obtained following the complaint shows a black Dodge Ram truck attempting to steal the trailer on Saturday, January 28, then returning on Sunday, January 29, to successfully steal the trailer.

The investigation is ongoing, but to date police and witnesses have not been able to identify the vehicle and person or persons responsible for the theft.

Police are therefore requesting the public’s help in identifying the suspect vehicle and the individual(s) responsible for the theft. In particular, police are asking that anyone who may have video surveillance in the area that could lead to a positive identification of those responsible to come forward.

If you have any information on this matter, please contact the Bridgewater Police Service main line at 902-543-2464.
