Announcement

Road Closure – Argyle Street

Location: Argyle Street, between Prince and Sackville streets

Date: Monday, February 6 (weather permitting)

Time: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Work details: This street closure will be in place to facilitate a crane lift in the area.

Traffic impact: A full street closure and a detour route will be in place. The sidewalk on the east side will be closed. Traffic control personnel will be on site to help direct pedestrians to businesses. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible

Traffic Delays – Pleasant Street

Location: 93 Pleasant Street, between Portland Street and Old Ferry Road

Date: Wednesday, February 1

Time: Ongoing until 6 p.m. ​ ​

Work details: Lane drops and stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway. Motorists can expect delays in the area and are asked to take alternative routes where possible.

Traffic Delay – Waverley Road and Montebello Drive

Location: Waverley Road, between Boutiliers Lane and Mountbatten Avenue, as well as Montebello Drive, between Waverley Road and Bonita Drive

Date: Thursday, February 2, 2023

Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Work Details: This work is to remove road pavement markings. Traffic lights will be turned off, stop-and-go traffic will be in place, and traffic control personnel will be on-site to facilitate traffic. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Road Closure – Gottingen Street

Location: Gottingen Street, between Cogswell Street and Portland Place

Date:​ Saturday, January 28 ​

Time:​ 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.​

Work details: This road closure will be in place to facilitate repairs to a crane.

Traffic impact: Traffic control personnel will be on-site to direct both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Motorists are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible

Traffic Delays – Windmill Road

Location: Windmill Road, between Akerley Boulevard and Victoria Road

Date: Sunday, January 29

Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ​ ​

Work details: Lane drops will be in place while work is underway. Motorists can expect delays in the area and are asked to take alternative routes where possible.

CONTINUING WORK

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Old Truro Road, Tatamagouche

Old Truro Road, from Kennedy Hill intersection to the Cross Road in North River, is closed until further notice due to a large culvert failure.

A detour is in place.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Slade Road, Tatamagouche

Slade Road is closed between Lake Road and West Tatamagouche Road until further notice due to a bridge closure.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Apple River Bridge

Apple River Bridge, on Shulie Road between Advocate and Joggins, is closed until further notice due to structural damage.

Signs and a detour are in place.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102, Bedford/Lower Sackville

Highway 102, from Exit 4A to Exit 4C, will have lane reductions and intermittent road closures on the northbound and southbound highway for the construction of the Highway 107-Highway 102 Interchange.

Highway 102 northbound and southbound, Highway 101, Bedford Highway, Bedford Bypass, Duke Street, Glendale Avenue and Sackville Drive will have intermittent road closures for blasting until June 30.

Traffic control will be on-site. Road closures for blasting will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday to Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday. Lane reductions will occur from sunrise to sunset Monday to Thursday and from sunrise to noon on Friday.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 101, Windsor

The eastbound off-ramp at Exit 6, Highway 101, is closed for the construction of a new interchange to downtown Windsor.

A detour is available via Exit 5A. The off-ramp is closed until September.

HANTS COUNTY: Hydes Bridge, Lantz

Hydes Bridge on Highway 277 is closed until further notice.

A detour is in place via Dutch Settlement Road, Elmsdale Road and Trunk 2. Signs are in place.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Indian Path Bridge, Bayport

Indian Path Bridge, Route 332, is closed for replacement until further notice.

A detour is in place.

RICHMOND COUNTY: Port Royal Bridge, Isle Madame

Port Royal Bridge on Port Royal Road is closed until further notice. A detour is in place on MacEachern Road.
