Halifax District RCMP is asking for help from the public to identify persons of interest.

At approximately 7 p.m. on June 19, Halifax District RCMP received a report of a man, a child and two women walking on the shoulder of Highway 224 in Upper Musquodoboit near the 8400 block. The man was seen assaulting the child. Patrols were made to locate the people involved but they were not located.

Police wish to speak with the man and check on the child’s well-being.

The man is described as 40-50-years-old, approximately 5-foot-8, with a shaggy beard and dark hair.​ He was wearing black pants, black rubber boots and a black hat.

The child is described as male, 8-10-years old, short curly hair and had a cast on his right arm.

One of the women is described as 40-50-years-old, approximately 5-foot tall with red/brown hair.​
