Certain LG 86-Inch Free-Standing Smart TVs and Stands Recalled Due to Tip-Over and Entrapment Hazards

Issue

The free standing Smart TV can become unstable while on the assembled stand, posing serious tip-over and entrapment hazards that can result in injuries or death to children and others.

As of January 6, 2023, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada or Mexico. In the United States, the company has received 22 reports, including 12 reports of tip-overs.

Affected products

This recall involves three LG 86-inch Class free-standing Smart TVs with support stands. The model number and serial number are located at the bottom right of the back of the TV. Consumers can also check the serial number by pressing the mute button, three times rapidly, on the original LG remote control provided with their TV.

 

The model numbers of the recalled products include: 86UQ8000AUB, 86UQ7590PUD, and 86NANO75UQA.

 

The serial numbers of the recalled products begin with: 202RM, 203RM, 204RM, 205RM, 206RM, 207RM, or 208RM.
