With the holiday season upon us, it’s that time of the year again to wonder whether the ground will soon be covered with snow. Will many of us be able to wake up on December 25th to a “White Christmas”?
If you can’t wait to find out whether you’ll be waking up to a winter wonderland scenery, we have calculated the probability of having a white snow-covered Christmas Day.
The table below shows the probability of having a white Christmas for some of the major Canadian cities. This is based on the amount of snowfall recorded from 1955 to 2021, from which a probability can be made to determine our chances of having a white Christmas for the current year.
