Registration opens for Eastern Shore Lifeguard Training Program
The Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting residents to register for the Eastern Shore Lifeguard Training Program.
This free program will provide residents of the Eastern Shore with free transportation to training facilities from central community pick-up locations in the Eastern Shore area. This will reduce barriers for youth accessing lifeguard training in rural communities.
The program includes a combination of virtual theory and in-person pool training, and successful participants have the opportunity to apply for lifeguard positions at municipally supervised beaches and facilities in Summer 2023.
Registration will remain open until Tuesday, January 3, 2023 and the program will begin on Saturday, January 14, 2022. Residents can apply on our website.
