Local police officers and children partner for 18th annual CopShop
The 18th annual CopShop, presented by Halifax Shopping Centre and Halifax Regional Police (HRP), took place tode at Halifax Shopping Centre.
For the event, HRP officers became personal shoppers to 50 local children as they set out for a special shopping spree.
Each child received a $200 gift card donated by Halifax Shopping Centre, a stocking filled with goodies and a new winter coat from Sport Chek. In the spirit of giving,
Halifax Shopping Centre also gave each shopping duo a $10 gift card to help pay it forward; the CopShop participant also purchased a gift for a child the same age, which the mall will then donate to the Salvation Army Toy Drive.
