Residents invited to the annual TD Dartmouth Christmas Tree Lighting

The Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting residents to attend the annual TD Dartmouth Christmas Tree Lighting on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Sullivan’s Pond.

The event will include the following programming:

5 to 6:15 p.m. at Sullivan’s Pond​ ​ ​

  • Live music on stage featuring the “Holiday” Roving Steins
  • Visit with Santa at A Buyer’s Choice Home Inspections holiday tent
  • Free hot chocolate & individually wrapped treats at the TD festive service tent (while quantities last)
  • Free TD festive green glow sticks (while quantities last)

5 to 6:15 p.m. at Findlay Community Centre​ ​ ​

  • Winter Wonderland Statues presented by Atlantic Cirque
  • Free holiday activities and treats with recreation staff

5 to 6:15 p.m. at the Flume House in Starr Park

  • Entertainment from the East Coast Carollers outside the illuminated historic Flume House

6:15 to 6:30 p.m. at Sullivan’s Pond​ ​ ​

  • Holiday greetings from the main stage

6:30 p.m. at Sullivan’s Pond​ ​

  • TD Dartmouth Christmas Tree Lighting Countdown
  • The BoyneClarke 50th Anniversary Holiday Fireworks

In order to accommodate this event, the following street closures will be in place on Saturday, Dec. 3:

  • Crichton Avenue, from Dahlia Street to Ochterloney Street (4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.)
  • Ochterloney Street, from Prince Albert Road to maple Street (5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.)
