Halifax District RCMP investigating vehicle crash on Hwy. 103
Halifax District RCMP are investigating a vehicle crash on Hwy. 103 in Timberlea.
Today, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Halifax District RCMP, fire, and EHS responded responded to a report of a vehicle crash on Hwy. 103 in Timberlea. RCMP officers learned that a Volkswagen Passat that was travelling east between exit 3 and 4 left the roadway and came to rest in the ditch.
The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, a 29-year-old Halifax man, suffered life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to hospital by LifeFlight.
A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
Hwy. 103 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
