Drone Operation over Defence Establishments and Vessels
Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) residents and visitors are reminded that drone operation over any Department of National Defence (DND) establishment is prohibited for reasons of safety and security and in accordance with federal regulations.
Within HRM, Defence establishments include all DND-owned, land-based properties as well as Royal Canadian Navy vessels and visiting force vessels berthed alongside Canadian Forces Base Halifax jetties or at anchor in Halifax Harbour.
Drone operators are asked to please abide by these restrictions for the safety and security of Defence property and personnel unless authorized use has been granted.
