Two new incidents and one update to pass along

 

Man Arrested for Making Threats to Cause Damage to Property

At approximately 6:00 p.m. on June 14th, a man attended the Police Headquarters building on Gottingen Street in Halifax and made threatening comments to an employee indicating he intended to burn down the building.​

A 31-year-old male was arrested a short time later and will be appearing in Provincial Court in September to face a single charge of uttering threats to cause damage to property.

Man Arrested for Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle and Assault

At approximately 9:00 p.m. officers responded to reports of dangerous driving on Portland Street in Dartmouth.

 ​Two vehicles were involved with one vehicle pursuing the other.​ The situation culminated with a physical disturbance on Woodlawn Road between the involved parties who were known to one another.​ ​

A 34-year-old male was arrested by responding members at the scene and remains in custody.​ He will be attending Provincial Court to face multiple charges including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, assault with a weapon and breach of probation.

 

Arrest Made in Stabbing Incident

With the assistance of uniformed officers, members of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant at a Richmond Street address overnight.​

A 39-year-old woman from Halifax was arrested.​  She remains in custody to attend Provincial Court to face a charge of aggravated assault.

Stabbing (June 14, 2020 (4:45 p.m.)

Police is investigating a stabbing that occurred this morning in Halifax

At 4:30am; Policed responded to the 5200 block of Richmond Street for a report of a woman who had been stabbed.

Officers located a 33-years-old woman and she was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The investigation by the General Investigative Section of the integrated Criminal Investigation Division is ongoing.
