Police investigate sexual assault

Police are investigating a sexual assault that occurred last month in Dartmouth.

On September 16 police received a report of a sexual assault that occurred on September 2 at approximately 12:20 p.m. near Ferry Terminal Park. A man approached a woman, who was not known to him, and touched her in a sexual manner then left the area on foot.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s to 40s, approximately 5’10” tall, 220 lbs., with dark brown hair and a goatee. At the time he was wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts, a baseball cap, sunglasses and sneakers.
