Meteghan RCMP investigating break-in at a church

Meteghan RCMP are investigating a break-in that occurred at a church on Hwy. 1 in Church Point.

On September 18, 2022, Meteghan RCMP responded to a report of a break-in that had occurred at a church on Hwy. 1 in Church Point. RCMP officers learned that church had been broken to sometime overnight between September 17 and September 18. During the break-in a number of doors were damaged and a donation box was smashed. Numerous items were stolen including coins and cups and chalices made of precious metals.

The investigation is ongoing and being assisted by RCMP Forensic Identification Services.
