Road Closure – Dalhousie Street

Location: Dalhousie Street from South Street to Beaufort Avenue

Date:​ Wednesday, September 21 to Wednesday, November 16

Time: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. ​

Work details: This work is related to watermain replacement and paving.​ This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.

Traffic impact:​ The road will be closed Monday to Saturday during the dates listed. Local access will be maintained. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes whenever possible.​

Traffic Delay – Beaver Bank Road

Location: Beaver Bank Road, at the intersection of Millwood and Stokil drives

Date: Wednesday, Sept. 21 to Friday, Sept. 23

Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily

Work details: This work is related to road construction. This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.

Traffic impact: Lane drops will be in place during this work. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Location:​ Dorothea Drive from Spring Avenue to Cole Harbour Road

Date: Wednesday, September 21 to Monday, September 26

Time:​ 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays ​

Work details:​ This work is for pavement maintenance.​ This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.

Traffic impact:​ Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway.​ Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use alternative routes whenever possible.​

Road Construction – Glendale Drive

Location: Glendale Drive, from Chandler Drive to Cobequid Road

Date: Wednesday, Sept. 21 and Thursday, Sept. 22

Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, as well as 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22

Work details: This work is related to road maintenance. This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.

Traffic impact: There will be stop and go traffic on Glendale Drive during this work. Traffic signals at the intersection of Glendale Drive and Cobequid Road will be shut down beginning Thursday, Sept. 22 at 6 p.m. Traffic control personnel will be in place to direct traffic, pedestrians, and cyclists. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Location: Forest Hills Parkway, at the intersection of Auburn Drive

Date: Wednesday, Sept. 21

Time: 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Work details: This work is related to road construction. This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.

Traffic impact: During this work, the traffic signals will be shut down and traffic control personnel will be in place to direct traffic, pedestrians, and bicycles. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Road Construction – Southgate Drive

Location: Southgate Drive from Larry Uteck Boulevard to Windbridge Lane

Date: Tuesday, September 20

Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.

Work details: This work is for pavement maintenance. This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.

Traffic impact: During the 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. work, there will be stop-and-go traffic on Southgate Drive. The work from 6 to 9 p.m. will be in the intersection of Southgate Drive and Larry Uteck Boulevard. During this time the traffic signals will be shut down and traffic control personnel will be in place.

Location: Timberlea Village Parkway, from Marketway Lane to St. Margarets Bay Road

 

Date and Time: Monday, Sept. 19 (from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and on Wednesday, Sept. 21 (from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.)

Location: Oxford Street from Jubilee Road to Coburg Road

 

Date: Monday, September 19

 

Time:  7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Location: Chebucto Road from Mumford Road to Connaught Avenue

Location: Millwood Drive, from Rafting Drive to Beaver Bank Crossroad

Date: Monday, September 19, 2022

Time: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Work details: The work is related to paving renewal. This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.

Traffic impact: Stop and go traffic will be in place while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Road Closure – Portland Street

 

Location: Portland Street, between Pleasant Street and Prince Albert Road

Date: Saturday, Sept. 17 and Sunday, Sept. 18

 

Time: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day (the road will reopen overnight)

 

Work details: This closure will be in place to facilitate underground utility work.

Traffic impact: Portland Street, between Pleasant Street and Prince Albert Road, will be closed while work is underway. Local and emergency access will be maintained. The sidewalk on the north side of Portland Street will remain open for pedestrians. Detour signage will be in place, and traffic control personnel will be on-site to direct both vehicular and pedestrian traffic around the work site. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to take alternative routes whenever possible.

Road Construction – Cobequid Road

 

Location: Cobequid Road, from Sucker Brook Road to First Lake Drive

 

Date: Friday, September 16

 

Time:  9 a.m. to 4 p.m.    

 

Work details: The work is to facilitate paving. This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.

 

Traffic impact: Stop and go traffic will be in place while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Work continues until September 30. A detour will be in place and drivers should proceed with caution.

RICHMOND COUNTY: Port Royal Bridge, Isle Madame

Port Royal Bridge on Port Royal Road is closed until further notice. A detour is in place on MacEachern Road.

RICHMOND COUNTY: West Bay Road, St. Peter’s

West Bay Road, from Nature Dream Boulevard westerly for 4.6 kilometres, is reduced to one lane for repaving until September 30.

Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

RICHMOND COUNTY: Trunk 4

Trunk 4, from Riverside Road eastbound for about 7.1 kilometres, is reduced to one lane for repaving until September 30.

Traffic control is on site. Work takes place weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

SHELBURNE COUNTY: Highway 103, Jordan Falls

Highway 103, about 100 metres west of Exit 24, has alternating lane closures for rehabilitation work on Jordan Falls Bridge until Friday, September 23.

Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from sunrise to sunset.

VICTORIA COUNTY: Highway 105

Highway 105, from 3.2 kilometres west of Trunk 30, easterly to 600 metres east of Route 312, is reduced to one lane for roadwork until October 31.

Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from sunrise to sunset.

VICTORIA COUNTY: Jamesville Bridge, Route 223

Jamesville Bridge is reduced to one lane for repairs until September 30.

Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from sunrise to sunset.

YARMOUTH COUNTY: Hardscratch Road, Yarmouth

Hardscratch Road, from the Yarmouth town line to Greenville Road, has alternating lane closures for paving and patching until September 30.

Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from sunrise to sunset.
