NS SPCA Adoption Highlight – Luna
Check out this lovely gal! Luna is a spry 9-year-old female who is hoping to find a cozy place to call her own. She has been spoiled in her current foster home, but is eager to find that permanent place. Check out what her foster has to say about her below:
“She is a very docile and friendly cat. She loves being around and snuggling with my children who are 8 and 12. She is also very friendly with my 6-year female indoor cat. I only have good things to say about her – she loves treats and falling asleep just about anywhere.”
Luna was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism and with this does require regular medication. This medication is given daily and does require bloodwork annually to ensure that the medication dosage is continuing to work well for her.

Doing our regular senior bloodwork, Luna was also found to be in kidney failure. She still has a good quality of life and we know that there is a lovely home out there that has an empty window sill waiting for her! With the diagnosis of early kidney failure, sweet Luna, qualifies as a Palliative Care pet. This means that the Dartmouth SPCA covers any medical exams and treatments as per our veterinarian and that you provide her the loving home.
Luna is available for adoption at the Dartmouth SPCA. If interested in adding this feline to your home, please submit an online application to our Dartmouth shelter: https://www.novascotiaspca.ca/cat-adoption-application/
