Halifax District RCMP investigating fatal crash
Halifax District RCMP is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Prospect Rd. in West Dover.
On September 4, 2022, at approximately 5:10 p.m., Halifax District RCMP, fire and EHS responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Prospect Rd. in West Dover. RCMP officers learned that a motorcycle had been travelling on Prospect Rd. when it left the roadway and came to rest in a ditch.
The driver, and sole occupant, of the motorcycle, a 16-year-old male youth, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
Prospect Rd. was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
