Yarmouth Rural RCMP investigate a shot fired from a vessel
Yarmouth Rural RCMP is investigating a shot being fired from a boat near Chebogue Point.
On July 20, 2022, at approximately 7:50 a.m., Yarmouth Rural RCMP responded to a complaint of a shot being fired from a boat near Chebogue Point. RCMP officers learned that a man onboard a fishing vessel, which was approaching another fishing vessel, fired one shot in the air. No one was injured in the incident.
RCMP officers have identified a person of interest.
The investigation is ongoing and being assisted by Fisheries and Oceans Canada.
