Police charge man with firearms offences
Police have charged a man with firearms offences after conducting a search of a residence in Halifax yesterday.
At approximately 10:45 a.m. on November 19, members of the Drug Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division conducted a search warrant at a residence on Brunswick Street in Halifax. A man was arrested without incident. Investigators seized a hand gun and ammunition.
A 38-year-old Halifax man is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face charges of:
- Possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace
- Unauthorized possession of firearm
- Possess firearm knowing its possession is not authorized
- Illegal storage of firearm
